* Establish a routine. This could be a problem for some people as real jobs often offer the sort of freedom that is otherwise not available in “on site” jobs. The newfound independence could backfire as people start to slack off. After all, what’s the big deal? It’s your business, right? However, if you want to be successful, this attitude won’t do. Be disciplined. You stand to lose more with real business since it is your business, hence, your personal time, effort, and money.
* Establish a schedule. Once you have your routine figured out, you also need to have a proper schedule. Decide on a starting and finishing time for your real job. Also, include breaks.
* Plan your day. At the start of each day of your real job, plan ahead. Set goals which are achievable in a day. If you do this, there’s no doubt that you’re going to be successful at your new real job.
* Dress for Success. So maybe you don’t really need to wear a coat and tie, but dressing too casually tends to encourage you to slack off. How you look will affect how you feel and how you perform.
